Talk Title: Key Methodological Issues in Patient Focused Drug Development: Considerations for PROMIS Users
Devin Peipert is a 125th Anniversary Chair and Professor of Health Outcomes Measurement at the University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom, where he works within the Centre for Patient Reported Outcomes Research and is Deputy Director of the Birmingham Health Partners Centre for Regulatory Science and Innovation. Prof Peipert is an investigator and psychometrician focusing on the application of clinical outcome assessments in patient focused drug development and in clinical monitoring to optimize patient management. He has worked extensively on establishing evidence to support implementing PROs and other clinical outcome assessments in drug trials. Prior to moving to his position at the University of Birmingham, he was a faculty member in the Department of Medical Social Sciences at Northwestern University in the United States. He holds a PhD in Public Health from the University of California, Los Angeles.
