Talk Title: Using PROMs to Support a Learning Health System
Dr. Jason Liu is a surgical oncologist and Assistant Professor at MD Anderson Cancer Center (MDACC) with a clinical focus on endocrine surgery (i.e., thyroid, parathyroid, and adrenal glands). He is also Adjunct Faculty at the Patient-Reported Outcomes, Value, and Experience (PROVE) Center at Mass General Brigham. His interest lies in the implementation of PROMs for performance improvement and value-based healthcare transformation. His work on the application of PROMs has been published in high impact journals, including JAMA Surgery and NEJM Catalyst. At MDACC, he works to harmonize and champion PROMs-related work across the system to improve patient-centered cancer care delivery and to influence national standards in multidisciplinary oncology care through evidence-based, patient-driven clinical excellence.
